31 days of looking back.

Emily Freeman is doing a series called 31 days to hush. i LOVE when she does these series in October each year. i look forward to it. she encourages us, her readers, to join in on the fun. granted, i missed day 1...i am doing this. 

i titled it 31 Days of Looking Back because i think it is essential for every believer, to look back and see all the good things God has done in our lives.

as i look back, there are countless things that come to mind. with all my impending travels, one specific memory that comes to mind.

i don't know if you've been reading here for awhile, but you can find the post about her linked. i am still amazed at how God was SO in the middle of our time together. in hugs, smiles, laughter....it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. that summer is so vivid in my mind, i doubt anything will dull it.

i am a firm believer that God puts us where we are for very specific reasons. i learned so much that summer. i learned what admiration looks like. i learned that i make God seem smaller in my head than He actually is. i learned that i am so incredibly blessed to live where i do.

live in a FREE country. worshipping my Savior FREELY. next time you think of complaining, stop yourself. because you have NO idea how much freedom you have until you've lived where there is no such thing as freedom...in the non spiritual sense of the word.

looking back on this particular memory, God gave so freely. His love, His grace, His mercy. so many times during that trip i was amazed...and looking back i am still amazed.

God is always good.
