what will people say?
what will people think?
how will i make it that long?
how long do i stay?
aren't these questions all questions of fear? my goodness! snap it together!
2 Timothy 1:6-8
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the Gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit of God does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me, His prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the Gospel, by the power of God.

Psalms 139:5
You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.
its as if God is saying, "go ahead, go! whats to lose? i have it here in my hands. so go!" He commands it too! and here i am, hiding in the bathroom? so, here's to opening the door. opening the door to possibility, changing the world, and more importantly, obedience. obedience to the One who knows my sitting and lying, my thoughts and words out of my mouth. why wouldn't i open the door with that kind of assurance?
I'm thinking of a quote from C.S. Lewis, "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" - 'He is not safe, but He is good."

But when we are willing to put ourselves in His all knowing hands, we leave 'safe' and we experience the goodness of God in way "safe" will never allow us to.

Found you through the Write it Girl link up! I think hiding in the bathroom is a place I could stay forever. But then I would never realize my full potential in God. It is scary, stepping out and giving God our all. But we don't have to do it alone. He will always be with us.
