i like to move it, move it: the call

if there's any question in your mind about what this post is all about....let me clear it up for you....

I'M GOING TO MADAGASCAR!!!!!!

ok...now that that's out of the way...let me tell you about how excited i am!! if that was any give away...i won't have to go much further, but please, continue reading. :)

God has been doing some crazy things in my life. and by crazy, i really mean awesome, neat, cool, fantastic....you get the picture. if you read any of my posts, you will see that there is an overwhelming trend. God has called me to preach the Gospel to the nations. for awhile, i thought it was East Asia. God gave me a heart for the nations not just East Asia. through scripture and conversations with my bestie Emily and my sweet missions ninja friend Monica, God confirmed that.

two years ago, FBC Orlando adopted a people group. it sounded so cool to me that there were people who were going to be able to tell people in Madagascar about Jesus. not only that, but that they were going to be the FIRST to tell these people! seriously, the coolest thing ever! but that was two years ago....a lot has happened since then.

for example, i started to fill out an application to LIVE in Asia for a year (or more)...and got about half way through it and started to feel uneasy. for the life of me, i couldn't finish the process. right around the same time, missions ninja said "you should go to Madagascar" in a facebook message. how in the world did she know to ask me that question? first evidence of God. so i inquired, said things i thought i'd never say, and she sent me the link to the application. i immediately called my friend Emily (who is moving to Botswana and is going to train our team!) to vomit my thoughts. we planned to meet up for dinner at our favorite resteraunt and chat. Emily said to me at some point that meal "Tiffany, East Asia is safe for you." second evidence of God. the next night...after i had gathered myself together and looked through the job and such, i went to the Drive.

another friend was speaking that night, and the first scripture he used was Colossians 3:1-5. this is not your standard "missions" verse...but it says "whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." what i was going to Asia for, was working for men. i see it now....not that it was a bad work, but it was for men and i wouldn't be able to be out in the community reaching people for Christ. this was the last evidence i had before deciding to fill out an application.

God has been so incredibly clear about all of this. if there was any question in my mind, He has answered it. i have complete peace and KNOW God is working in my heart, my teammate's hearts and the hearts of the Malagasy people. if you'd like to hear more, please let me know! otherwise, stay tuned....more is coming!
