the take over.

i can't believe it has been 2 months since my return from China. this weather has reminded me lately of my beloved Longde. most days i go all day without thinking about China. work and school and my new house has taken over my life and i don't have much time for anything else. squeeze in the possibility of a nanny job soon, and my life is definitely packed full. i don't know why i get myself so busy that i forget. it doesn't really make sense. so, to remind myself, and tell a funny story, here are some pictures. :)

this is mike. he was, quite possibly, the funniest kid in my class. he laughed at anything i said and anything he tried to say. well, last week, i received an email from mike. now, i don't know what was going through his mind, but a sentence in the email read: "again agreeing the gizzard to be brutal and to comfort joyfully to stew to question fatigued Luo." what in the world does that mean? i have yet to hear back from mike, but i just know that he came up with that himself and considers it correct english. what he doesn't know is that his message was clearly "lost in translation."

ok, so maybe it was just one story, but it did my heart good. i hope i continue to remember my students there. i miss them so much i would give anything to fly over there to hang out with them. even if it were just for a day, it would be worth it.
